Firearms Training

Firearms

Centerra ITI offers completely customized courses based off client needs as well as several standard courses.

The goal of the firearms training at ITI is to advance shooters to the next level. Whether you are new to firearms or have been shooting for years, our programs will provide you with the skills necessary to further your capabilities as a military member, law enforcement officer, or recreational shooter.

By focusing on the fundamentals of shooting, students will be able to engage targets with better accuracy and speed. Students are taught using techniques that stress the use of gross motor skills. This allows them to manipulate and employ various weapon systems while under stress.

Some of the resources that ITI has to use to conduct your firearms training are as follows:

Pistol Training

All our pistol courses can be tailored to the clients needs. Here is just a sample of the instruction we provide:

Carbine Training

All our carbine courses can be tailored to the clients needs. Here is just a sample of the instruction we provide:

Tactical Shotgun

Centerra ITI can teach a wide variety of shotgun courses upon request. We offer instruction on the Remington 870 pump, Mossberg 500, and Benelli auto shotguns. Courses range from weapon nomenclature, identifying different types of shotgun rounds, patterning, weapons manipulations, positional shooting, use of cover, weapons transitions, and shooting on the move. Please contact Brandon Wright for information on training.

SWAT / Tactical Team Training

ITI can build a basic or advanced SWAT course tailored to your needs. A typical course will run for 5 days covering everything from house diagramming, approaches, phase lines, weapon and gear selection, mechanical breaching, two man entries and up to four man, suspect encounters, and suspect containment. Some of the resources used to teach this course are a 3,000 square foot live fire shoot house (equipped with 16 cameras with recording and review capabilities, strobe lights, and a sound system), flat range (out to 200 yards), and an airplane fuselage. If you are interested in building a course for your agency or department, please contact Brandon Wright.

Competitive Pistol Training

Team ITI Captain Brandon Wright takes you on an in-depth look into competitive pistol shooting. These courses are designed for individuals who are looking to start shooting competitively or to take their shooting to the next level. Whether you shoot IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Assoc.) or USPSA (United States Practical Shooting Assoc.), these courses will enhance your performance in the match.

Competitive Pistol I will focus on the draw, reloads, malfunctions, and target transitions. All the basics to get you started to shoot a match.

Competitive Pistol II identifies your strengths and weaknesses and shows you how to track your progress as well as how to practice. This course focuses on creating a shooters log, target transitions, match analysis, match performance, set ups, shooting on the move, and shooting props (swingers, droppers, and drop turners).

Simunition® Training

Centerra ITI uses Simunition® training equipment to conduct force on force training for Military, Government, Law Enforcement, and Civilians. The Simunition® training allows students to make use of force decisions, enforces proper use of cover, and gives them the ability to train in real world scenarios using the weapon they carry.

Simunition® scenarios can be intergraded into firearms training and final training exercises (FTX). We supply all the required safety equipment, certified Simunition® Scenario Instructors, and offer converted Beretta 92F, Sig Sauer P229, Glock 17, MP5, and M4 weapon systems.
